Day 1:
June 8 - Arrive in Milan, Excursion to Como, Leisure Time in Bellagio, Overnight in Bellagio
A private transfer from the airport in Milan is arranged to take you to Bellagio where you will be based for 2 nights. Your hotel in right in the town facing the beautiful lake. Late afternoon to Como to explore and take in the scenery. Lively Como, boasting a long history since the bronze age, has some interesting sites. The city also has an important history in textile and silk manufacturing and trading. Interesting shopping opportunity is available. You will explore the historic center located within an ancient city wall.
Day 2:
June 9 –Tremezzo & Villa Carlotta, Bellagio, Overnight in Bellagio
After breakfast, you will meet your tour guide who will take us on a guided tour of Tremezzo and Villa Carlotta. This lovely villa was built in the mid-17th century and is known for its centuries-old botanical gardens and the much appreciated Italian-style garden. Important works of art are found both in the garden and inside the villa, now a museum. After the tour, you will ferry back to Bellagio, one of the prettiest village in all of Italy. Bellagio sits in front of Lake Como with its promenade, stairways and streets from the bottom to the top, lined with shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. Explore the town leisurely. You may want to visit Villa Melzi and its beautiful garden which faces the lake in town. (B)
Day 3:
June 10 – Tour of Milan: Cathedral, Last Supper, Verona, Overnight in Verona
Depart from Lake Como for Verona with a stop in Milan on the way. You will have guided tour of Milan, starting with the Duomo, the city's magnificent late Gothic cathedral. You'll continue your walking tour of Milan through the Gallery Vittorio Emanuele II to the square of La Scala, one of the world's most famous opera houses.
Your Milan tour will end at the Cenacolo Vinciano, the museum housing Leonardo da Vinci's great “Last Supper.” (Limited tickets available. Advanced booking necessary). Your tour guide will share with you some interesting and little-known facts about this famous masterpiece. Free time after the tour to explore Milan on your own for lunch and some shopping before you head to Verona. Arrive early evening at your hotel in the city center. (B)
Day 4:
June 11 – Guided Tour of Verona, Overnight in Verona
Ancient Verona became Roman colony in 89 B.C. It is one of the most beautiful cities in Italy which lies next to flowing Adige River. It was also the setting for Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet. An amazing city in every sense, Verona has lumino us marble monuments that date back two thousand years. The city’s sights include a famous Amphitheater and Roman Theatre; Ponte Pietra, a centuries-old Roman bridge built over a natural ford; Gavi’s Triumphal Arch, erected to celebrate one of the most influential families in Verona; and Porta Borsari and Porta Leoni, two monumental gateways that greet visitors and depict the grandeur of the Roman empire. You will tour Verona with a great local guide who will take you on a walking tour of the main highlights of the city along the ancient Roman roads. The fascinating remains of Roman villas and mosaics offer a glimpse of the grandeur of Verona's Roman past. The Della Scala family who once ruled the city transformed Verona's appearance forever with its fortifications, castles, palaces, plazas and last but not least, their splendid intricate funerary monuments, the Arche Scaligere. Day 5:
June 12 – Parma, Modena, Overnight in Florence
Today you will make your way to Florence, your last home base. On the way, you'll stop in Parma and Modena. Enjoy a culinary tour as you take a guided tour of Parma and Modena. First stop is Parma, situated halfway between Milan and Bologna. Parma’s historical city center boasts important monuments of both the Roman and Liberty styles as well. You will enjoy a guided tour of Parma's city sights as a beautiful 11th century cathedral, the baptistery, the 16th century church of Steccata, and the square of Pillotta. Famous for Proscuitto and Parmesan cheese, Parma is the culinary capital of Italy. Your guided tour of Parma will include a visit to a Parmesan cheese factory, where you will hear about making process of this beloved product, strictly bound to its place of origin.
Then you will continue onto to Modena.. Tour highlight of the afternoon will be a visit to a great acetaia where they produce the famous namesake balsamic vinegar. You will have an explanation of how this kitchen staple is made followed by balsamic vinegar tasting. Modena is charming. You will have some free time to explore before we depart for Florence. (B)
Day 6:
June 13 – Walking Tour of Florence With Accademia Museum Visit OR Pitti Palace & Boboli Garden Tour, Overnight in Florence

This morning, you will have a guided tour of Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance, with our expert Florence guide. We will hear about the amazing history of this 2,000-year-old city and see some of the world’s greatest art and architecture on this tour. Our excellent guide will present a fantastic tour of Florence's history, art and architecture.
You will get a glimpse of the famous art works at the Duomo (Cathedral) as well as Brunelleschi's Dome, while you will also visit such famous landmarks as the Baptistry’s Gates of Paradise, Bell Tower, Ponte Vecchio, Vasari's Corridor and Medieval towers. You’ll hear about the history of Florence and its famous rulers and artists, as we stroll by Renaissance palaces, beautiful piazzas, markets and famous shopping streets.
The tour ends with a guided visit the Galleria dell' Accademia museum, home to many of Michelangelo's amazing works, including the Statue of David. The museum’s collection also includes many gems from the Florentine Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance periods. (B)
Day 7:
June 14 – Leisure Day in Florence: markets, shopping, other sites, Farewell Dinner, Overnight in Florence
Today, you're free to explore the endless sights of Florence on your own. Florence has many more museums, palaces, shops and open markets than we will have time to show you, so this is the time to explore what interests you most. The Uffizi Museum is a must-visit for art aficionados just like the Pitti Palace and Boboli Garden. You can also shop for Florence’s trademark leather and gold or take a cooking class at one of Florence's top cooking schools.
Day 8:
June 15 – Departure for home
A private transfer will take you to the airport.
