This tour will take you to see paintings and sculptures by famous artists at the Duomo (Cathedral) as well as Brunelleschi's Dome.  You will also see the Baptistry, Gates of Paradise, Bell Tower, Ponte Vecchio, Vasari's Corridor and Medieval towers. 

You will see Renaissance palaces, beautiful squares like Piazza Signoria and Piazza della Repubblica, markets and famous shopping streets. 

This tour will also take you to visit the Galleria dell' Accademia museum and  view some of Michelangelo's amazing sculptures, including the Statue of David.  While the Galleria dell' Accademia is still now primarily known for Michelangelo's masterpieces, Slaves or Prisoners and St. Matthew, the collection has since expanded to include various Florentine Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance paintings.

Uffizi Gallery occupies the top 2 floors of a building originally designed by Giorgio Vasari, one of the leading painters and architects in the 15th century.  Today, it is one of the most famous and important museums in the world for paintings and sculptures. The Uffizi houses acclaimed masterpieces by Botticelli, Fra Angelico, Felippo Lippi, Raphael, Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Giotto, Leonardo da Vinci and many others.  German, Flemish and Dutch masters like Rubens and Rembrandt are also well represented.

Michelanglo's masterpiece Statue of David had stood outside in front of Palazzo Vecchio since the artist's time before it was officially housed at Galleria dell' Accademia.  In 1875, it was formally given a home during the celebration of great master's 400 birthday and Accademia was then dedicated to Michelangelo.

Stop at a coffee house and learn how the Italians do coffee.  

Visit the famous Mercato Centrale, the very serious food market in Florence for fresh produce, meats, cheeses.  You will stop at various food stands for their specialty products and have gthe opportunity to sample cheeses, vinegars, cured meats.

This tour includes an authentic lunch complete with wine.  Enjoy a fabulous lunch while your tour guide explains to you the local culture surrounding food and wine.

And after lunch for your final stop, you will have a nice treat at a wonderful pasticceria, where you will enjoy dessert and coffee.
