Pantheon, first erected by Marcus Agrippa in 27 B.C. and also rebuilt by Emperor Hadrian as a temple to the all the gods of Ancient Rome in 2 A.D. It was the largest dome in the world until the 1400's when the cathedral in Florence was built. Pictured on the right.

Piazza Navona, with beautiful 17th-century fountains built by Bernini, is a magnificent plaza built on the site of a Roman Circus, where chariot races once took place.
